"Needed a full face helmet. My experience is that there is no substitute for trying on the helmets to get the right size and shape. Tried on 3 full face helmet with solid chin protection - typical full face helmets, with no success. that helmet type will always be very difficult for me to fit.
But Jessica, the person helping me suggested an open face, 3/4's coverage hemet type. The one I chose was the Cycle Gear house brand Bilt. It had a full face lexan shield that covered down to my chin. Built in drop down sun shield. I got that one with a new dark lexan face shileld.
This was a great choice on two levels. It absolutely gives me full face wind, bug and debris protection just not possible with the half face shield in my old helmet. And the price is so right. $79 with $10 off is much much less than the $300-$400 plus I thought I would have to spend for a full coverage helmet. I am not racing just cruising and this helmet fills the bill and has more head coverage than my old half head model.
Jessica was a huge help in getting to this helmet and congrats to Cycle Gear for providing a quality low cost alternative to the expensive full face helmets. Go to the store try on a bunch and find the right helmet. "
